A Flock Of Seagulls - Never Again (The Dancer) (Dance Mix)

BTW, love The Lambrettas (R.I.P. Jez Bird) and their cover version of Poison Ivy which reached #7 on the UK chart.

The problem with the Lambrettas is that they couldn't shake off their mod image when the type of music fell out of favour despite their best efforts in changing their musical direction on their next album. Shame though as they were a decent band and their first album is pretty good.

Friday:

Overkill - Men at Work, because my son has been singing it at a karaoke bar.

He has also done a faithful version of Sid Vicious doing My Way. He said that 2 people got it and the rest just stared at him like he was a freak.

I always seem to agree with you Peter![:D] And I've never met you! As a product of the Mod revival and Scooterist scene--just love all the bands from 1977 to 1981/82 that sprang forth.

Anyway, ironically for today (Friday), the first song I heard was The Jam - The Bitterest Pill.

Aw, thanks for that glokstadt! [8D]

I would like to meet you but sadly an ocean (and low bank account) stops that. Was never that keen on mod as the only band I really like were The Truth before their first album (what went wrong there??). Still, it's horses for courses.

Back on topic, Bobby Caldwell - What You Won't Do For Love

Hmm, not very new wave is it? In that case it would be the next song played, Endgames - Waiting For Another Chance (extended)
