Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (obviously),
Buggles, Units (I reccomend "High Pressure Days"
and DAF (Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft).

The Units from San Francisco are a great erly synth band, saw them open for O.M.D. on the [i]Architecture + Morality[/i] tour.

yes, units are a good example,
maybe John Foxx, Fad Gadget, but they are more avantgarde.
ODW went very house, but that was cool too.

glok, League of Nations are excellent ! I have the songs off of [i]Music For the New Depression[/i], and they're all really amazing. Icy-cold synths, furturistic-sounding, reminiscent of early Human League. Also have the "Fade" 12" and "Thin Ice Door", which was included on the 2008 (?) re-release of this album. I can upload some songs if you'd like.[:)] This is good stuff.
