There are short clips of 2 vintage WLIR airchecks on a song called "Red Skies Over Garden City" by the band Fol Chen from the new album "Part One: John Shade, Your Fortune's Made" on the Asthmatic Kitty label. I wonder if they came from any of the airchecks some of you have recently posted. Considering the band are from California it comes as a bit of a surprise.
I wonder if there are other songs featuring WLIR samples? Anyone know?

This is fairly well-known, but anyway:
Nik Kershaw mixed clips of WLIR personalities talking it up on "Radio Musicola". I don't know if they were sampled, or they were recorded specifically for that song.
