Taking your lead I scoured the Musicians' Union directory on Jonathan and the only details I could find was of someone who is based in London but living in France. Searches for George and Malcolm turned up nothing, likewise for the other members.

I'm convinced some wires got crossed somewhere, but that's just so weird. According to several Climax Blues Band websites, George's birth name is George Ewart Newsome. The Library of Congress (which doesn't have Dekka Danse in its archives) has him under both George Newsome and George Newson. Be it Newsome or Newson, the CAE/IPI is the same -- except for the fact that BMI credits are Climax Blues Band songs while ASCAP credits are classical music.

Well, that's enough mysteries for one day.

"A Key For Every Occasion" is great. I also like "Malice In Wonderland" too. What did you think of the songs on your first listen fiftypercent?

I really do hope Waltz In The Wilderness is released on CD one day with bonus tracks. This early single would make for a great addition to tack on at the end.

Looked up the band names in ASCAP and BMI. Surprisingly they are in BMI. PRS (UK) affiliations of course -- except for an APRA (usually Australian) affiliation for an "Eric Stanley Jupp." There is no Alan Morrison listed. Either Alan didn't do any of the songwriting or they replaced guitarists. I don't have my singles handy right now so I can't check the songwriting credits printed on them although I'm sure one of you can.

Thanks to one of his non-Dekka Danse credits, I managed to find a page for Eric Jupp. Poor guy's dead. It confirms he moved from England to Australia. Based on his what his age would have been in 1984, I'm assuming he was Dekka Danse's producer. A 60-year-old guitarist? Yeah I don't think so. I'm sure you can find that on the vinyl as well.
