I know, I sound like a crazed fan for posting two items about this band today, but I didn't see this news until later in the day. I hope the tour makes it to the US!

Sitting here in London today and it is all over the news! I didn't realize they'd had a nasty breakup.

If I were Gary, I wouldn't have reformed with them.

What's happening in the Kemp brothers' acting careers?

Now now, that's not very nice! [:D]

Martin was last seen advertising sofas here so it's no wonder he agreed to do this. [:D]

Gary wrote the songs. Gary made the songwriting royalties. Everybody save for his brother slapped him with a frivolous lawsuit because they wanted a piece of that. It deservedly got thrown out of court.

Of course, there are plenty of bands who stick everybody's name on everything regardless of who wrote what, just so everybody can get a third (those washed-up Canucks, Barenaked Ladies, even admitted to doing as much), but I have a lot more respect for bands who only take credit where credit is due. I'm all Bostonian like that.

If they wanted royalties, they should have written their own frickin' songs. It's not like Gary was the most brilliant songwriter to come down the pike. (He was a great actor, though.)

In addition to this, on the last album Gary wanted to see how far he could push things, one of which was including his name as the songwriter for the tracks. The album wasn't up to much but he wanted out by then anyway.

With a thrill in my head and a pillow under my bum, a sofa and a loveseat and I've just begun...

Okay, okay, sorry, don't throw that thing at me!

I just kept waiting for The Krays II...
