No--have not seen the acclaimed British version but I have watched the American version since it started and find it pretty cool. Just curious if I am the only one watching.

It's a great show ... still trying to figure out where they are going with it. Will another season find Sam Tyler now living in 1974 (effectively trapped in the past)? Is he just in a coma? Is it all some military experiment?

The song selection is a terrific and eclectic selection from the '69-'73 era. I've heard some complaints that Harvey Keitel's role is a bit over-the-top, but you gotta love Michael Imperioli as the aptly (for the time period) smart-assed, chauvinistic detective.

I love the show. Now I hear BBC America will be showing Ashes To Ashes--which is supposedly a related show about a female cop investigating what happened to Sam and she ends up in 1981. I think.

Just started watching it since it follows Lost. Why I'm still watching Lost I'm not sure. I have to watch the Life on Mars pilot so I know how it all starts. Now to the Lost thread.

That totally sux, I really like the show, one of the shows I TiVo ever week... Sad news, Harvey Keitel, Grechen Mol, et al is a great cast with great acting.

This show, which started out with some promise, went straight downhill after the hiatus, finally hitting rock bottom with the March 4th episode, which was the worst hour of television I've seen all year. It's a mercy killing.

The original pilot, which everyone dumped on, had a much better cast. They fired all of them -- every single one -- except for O'Mara, the only person in the original pilot who couldn't act.

While I watched & enjoyed the whole UK series, I still watched the USA version. Michael Imperioli seemed born for that role with his 70s stache and fits perfectly. Never saw the Sopranos, so I can't compare. But he "Americanized" the role to not be a total copy of his UK counterpart & became unique, just like Dwight Schrute.

Getting the axe? A shame, since it's better than most other shows out there for prime time dramas. If they should ever make a USA version of Ashes to Ashes, I would kill to be on the creative team of that. I'd start whipping out obscure new wave & post punk tunes just like the UK original!

Mind you, nobody can replicate DCI Gene "oi!" Hunt.

Count me among those very sad that this show's going off the air. I thought O'Mara was phenomenal and so was the whole supporting cast. This'll make the 3rd hourlong drama this season that will no longer make my TiVo chug (Boston Legal and ER being the others).

I think ABC just doesn't know how to market. I'm going to start another thread on this someday, but The Mole should be the biggest so-called "reality" show on TV, and ABC just didn't let people know it even existed. Everyone I know who ever watched it loved it - but very few people I know even knew what it was about!

The Mole was awesome and I'm not a huge "reality " fan. Anderson Cooper was by far the best host on it though.

Too bad the series will not be back net season, the final episode was awesome, a realy good exit IMHO...
