Ashes To Ashes

I enjoyed the first episode of this BBC sequel to Life On Mars. This series is set in 1981 London, needless to say hearing clips of Bowie, Ultravox, Stranglers (IIRC), Duran Duran, The Clash and Roxy Music in the background, was a bonus. [:)]

Info about the show:

Airs Saturday night on BBC America, I caught it at noon Sunday on Showcase, here in Canada.

I bittorrented all the eps and loved it. Tons of great music, and it's set in England in the early 80s. A show that's an instant favorite!

Finally added show to TiVo, and have Saturday's recorded, whatched the opening credits/intro - Love the Adam Ant photo collage! [:)]

Looking forward to watching this series... How many episodes have I missed? Maybe BBCA will run a marathon weekend in the near future.

Been watching and listening to the background music... Great songs from Adam & The Ants, Joe Jackson, Heaven 17, The Human League, OMD, The Ruts, Ultravox, Visage (they were even performing in a club scene with great NuRo clothes on the dancers!), lots of Roxy Music!!!

Amazed at the lack of interest that folks on this site are giving to this show. With all the sci-fi ne wave folk here--this is exactly what this show marries together!!! Get on the ball folks!!!!!!!!!!!

The best combination of TV: British AND early 80s. I already had half the soundtrack on my Ipod. Series 2 starts next week. Check my other thread for the comprehensive soundtrack someone else put together.

I like the music, but I pretty much hate the rest of the show.

It's like how the 80's show compared to the 70's show.
That's how I see it anyways.
