The name of the band is Edelweiss (or in German with the Esszet: Edelweiß)!

They had a song with the title... "Bring Me Edelweiß."

Anyone know anything else about them? Any other songs???

Found this on one of the Youtube info sidebars for BME.

"Edelweiss" was an Austrian Electronica/Dance band. The act consisted of remixers Martin Gletschermayer, Walter Werzowa and Matthias Schweger.

The band used a lot of humour and sexually suggestive lyrics in its music. The humour was targeted at Austrian ski resorts and yodeling.

Part of the melody of "Bring me Edelweiss" was taken from ABBA's SOS. Also, two melody lines are borrowed from Indeep's "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life."

A good part of Edelweiss' music consists of electronica, while their style has been branded as pop[1] and Eurotrash[2]. They reached a Europe-wide #1 position with their hit "Bring me Edelweiss", by supposedly following the instructions given in 'The Manual', which was their main influence in getting their two hits. "Bring Me Edelweiss" sold five million copies worldwide. Bill Drummond, an author of "The Manual", mentioned that in the epilogue of the German release of "The Manual", which was originally published in 1989 (in English).

Another (eminently forgettable IMO) track by the name '(I CANT GET NO) EDELWEISS' can also be found on Youtube.

FWIW- Despite all it's cheeziness, BME ALWAYS packed the dance floor of any NY area club we were at back in the day, Great Party Track![8D]
