Formal shorts are icky. So are jorts (jean shorts) and any kind of athletic shorts. What the heck else are you supposed to wear?!
I saw too many kids getting pantsed in junior high to ever wear athletic shorts outside. Nope, never happened to me. [:D]
Attention grocery managers:

Instead of having an employee that tells you which line you should get in, how about opening another register?
LOL That IS stupid! Do they realy pay people just to do that where you live?! XD I work at a grocery store and if an open lane has no customers, the casheir is ether to help bag if we are short on baggers untill someone gets in their lane, or else they stand in their lane and flag people over so they can get rung up. Nice and eficient as long as the cashiers aren't being lazy. :)

On that topic, I hate people who ask if the lane is open when I'm cleaning even though the sign for the lane is turned off. And then there's the fact that you have to walk through the room where we keep the shoping carts both to enter AND to leave the store... yet there are customers who insist on removeing their bags from their cart and leaving it right at the end of the lane instead of waiting untill they reach the cart room. I also am driven to the brink of insanity by the shit people buy with their welfare cards. Or the morbidly obese people who hog the handicaped electric carts and then buy nothing but junk food. Or women in name brand cloths and expensive looking jewelry/shoes/sunglasses useing welfare checks to buy their baby formula. RASE YOUR BASTARD CHILDREN ON YOUR OWN DAMN DIME.

I also can not STAND the people who try to make smalltalk with me about the weather.... especialy when we're BOTH OUT SIDE. "My god, you're soaked!", "Gosh, can you beleave this weather?" Jee, no, I can't beleave it... please, explain the weather I am experiencing to me. I am so new to the world. And then there's the ones who think they are flatering me when they pitty me and tell me 'They should have the guys out doing this!' No, they shouldn't. My vagina is not a disability, and if it were disability enough to where I could not perform the tasks the job requires, then I shouldn't be working there. I may have a shit job, but I have my fucking pride! Leave me to it! (Of couse, we are expected to grin and bear any indignity.)

Of course there's also the hot and sunny sunny days, then they'll say "HEY! 8D At least you get to enjoy the weather!!!!" No. No I do not enjoy the weather. Why do people who love summer weather think EVERYONE has to? I've even had people scoff at me or argue the point when I inform them that actualy I'm abnormaly sensitive to sun and heat and would rather push carts through a blizard or monsoon than trudge across hot asphalt, half blinded by the sun reflected back up by the shiney cars, bakeing in the heat radiating back up from the blacktop as my skin redens and tans under the glare of the sun, in humidity that makes me choke for air as I push large metal objects through a hellish maze of ignorant people who are more careless than ever because, hey, with the weather THIS nice, why shouldn't I languish in the sun while they cut me off to get one parking spot better than the next guy; and why SHOULD they bother to put the carts where they belong since they're clearly doing me a favor, giveing me an excuse to be out in the nice nice summer weather. Fuckers.

Aergh! Damn you Palos Heights or whatever and your complete lack of public transportation!

I'm on staff for an anime convention and I can't get to the meeting. I could take the train/L system as far as Rosemont and then all PT cuts off. Joliet has a freeking bus system and it's well outside of Chicago. Palose Hights is just a half hour north of a freekn' Airport and it has NOTHING. This is madness!

I need a nap!

See, to top it off, by time I reach Rosemont the meeting will be well underway. So haveing someone pick me up there isn't working ether.

And I was suposed to hand in a $20 fee for my Staff Suite acsess for the convention. I needs the foods... D: And tomorow is Sunday to no mail untill monday and the extended deadline is today. e___e Bear in mind I couldn't pay sooner because my hourse were cut back so severely at work for about a month or so. Now that I have some money again, it's this rediculous race against the clock at the last minute. I hate this.

rawr.

To top it off, while I was still out of it after a breif nap, I got a call... I thought it was my fellow staff member who was going to call me back. When I answer I get ATENTION!!!!!!! IS YOUR HOME ABOUT TO BE FORECLOSED UPON?!?!? at twice the fucking volume of a normal phone call. The lady in the recording was literaly YELLING the fucking message, but in a realy happy voice wich only makes it worse! And it's a recording, so I have no one to yell back at! Ah, the rage! I hate these fucking vultures! We don't even have credit cards and have no credit debt, but we constantly get these "WE CAN CONSOLIDATE YOUR CREDIT CARD DEBT" recordings.

Joy Behar- WTF?

Did something go horribly wrong when they tried to clone Bette Midler? I fail to see her appeal. Uninsightful questions, irritating voice and a face made for radio.

More interested in speaking her pedestrian opinions than actually listening to the responses from those she is "interviewing". How does this beotch get airtime on TV?

I just saw that Behar was listed as a comic. What???

The next time she says something funny will be the first time.

OLD People.
Before I quit Hardees, I hated dealing with these silver-haired creatures.
Here in the Bible belt, I caught hell for wearing my Obama pin. I had to wear it to counteract the Palin signs in the front yard...but that's not the point of this rant.

They smell...and they are REALLY slow.
At Hardees, we served 3 million types of cheeseburgers. They'd come up and ask for a 'cheeseburger' and I would have to engage them in descriptive conversation. I was forced into doing this because defaulting to the 99 cent sandwich didn't work. I received complaints.

They automatically think they are obligated to something. They treat a young cashier like dirt. They are rude and short, and act like I don't know know what I am doing.

The computer system was designed by monkeys, and therefore it has a layout that is so erratic, that it had to have been designed to be such. One command to ring up something. 37 commands to recall and edit it...and by edit, I mean delete the original and ring up a new one. So I lost it a couple of times at that place. She kept screaming at me "I said no pickles! Did you not hear me? Take those pickles off of there!" To which I finally had enough and shouted back "All Right! Just give me one freaking second to put it in the stupid computer."

And that was the 4th time my manager yelled at me for snapping at a customer.

One of the best was a pair of fellow college students who were being stupid. We have these stupid plastic table tents with numbers on them. We were low on them, and I gave them their number. I came back to run food out to another customer..and this one guy was about to rip the thing in half. So I said "Please, don't break the numbers."
To which he responded by staring at me and breaking the stupid thing in front of me. I took the roll of trashbags in my other hand and slammed it down on the table as hard as I could- and yelled as loud as I could "You FUCKING ASSHOLE!" The guy had a look of sheer terror on his face and left the restaurant.

Finally, when you're with someone for 1.5 years and she just ups and leaves with barely an explanation. Instead of working out your problems, she just leaves...and waits a week to tell you all the things that you had apparently been doing wrong, and its all news to you.

Also- hangovers....those that result from too much partying with your friends after said breakup.

Frayo, I want to give you a hug. lol Women who just dump guys like that piss me the fuck off. Women always act like they're entitled to be treeted exactly as they envision it, try to manipulate people into doing so, and don't just say what they want, then they have the nerve to turn around and blame men calling men inept. For some reason this atitude amongst women seems to be acsepted by our culture at large as 'sassy' or 'independant'. I don't get that. I'm a woman, BTW, but I find the majority of women I meet horibly confuseing. And how is being an ungrateful bitch a act of power and independance when they're aparently so emotionaly dependant upon how others react to them, and when they aparently need to be catered to? That's not an empowered woman's mentality, that's the mentality of a spoilt little princess. You have me in you corner.

Incidentaly, I don't recall ever haveing a man give me hell at work. It's always the women. lol That must be why all this hate is festering within me aparently. The women who freek out for stupid reasons where I work and the women you see glorified on TV.

Old people are a lot nicer where I live aparently. We'll get the ocasional senile elderly who yell a lot but they're usualy rather obviously only half there. lol I live in Illinois so I didn't have to deal with so many Palin suporters. I hope she does try to run for president, though. I could make a mint off the motto "I don't vote with my vagina" when the inevitable controversey over women not voteing for a woman begins. Fuck yeah. I'd wear that bumper sticker with pride if only I had a car. lol

I had to go to Kirtland Ohio over the weekend (east of Cleveland). A friend bought a house and wanted me to see it. I got the directions over the phone and headed out. All was fine until I hit Kirkland. I couldn't find a single street sign on any of the roads. I kept my eyes peeled for the familiar green street signs with white letters like all street signs are in NE Ohio. Well, Kirtland must have decided that they are too good for green street signs and had white signs with black letters. They even had their own little fancy posts holding them up, plus the signs weren't up high. They were down close to the road and looked like business signs. To top it all off, the lettering was in a stylized thin bodied font that I couldn't read until I was right on top of them. No wonder the speed limit was 25 mph.....you needed to drive that slow to read the signs. Upper class hooty tooty high falutin' rootin' tootin' ass holes.

Frayo, I don't mean to make light of your situation, but trust me when I say that you are better off dealing with this now than say, oh, 18+ years and three kids down the road. Getting kicked to the curb after *that* is one heck of a shocker.

What a happy lot lately. I had to go searching for this.

Tourists. [:(]

I had to drive into Niagara Falls today. OMG. I don't know how people live there. And I don't know why they'd park an arena in the middle of it.

On the plus side, my 15 yr old son got to scope out all the strip clubs on the way back. He thought it was handy there were motels right next door. LOL

People that turn dead people into saints. Just because they are dead. If someone sucked in life, why change your mind when they die? Call it like it is.

People who were "Jorts" (Jean Shorts) usually with a wifebeater and Timberland boots....just something very wrong about that look. I recently was introduced to this term "Jorts" and think its fuckin hilarious and nearly bust out laughing when I see people wearing them.
Hope I'm not offending any Jort wearers on here.....:)

I hear ya.

There are people here who still wear overall jorts. I actually saw a woman wearing them with a wolf t-shirt and crocs. There's just no excuse.

I can't stand the guys that wear their pants hanging down past their asses. I HATE this! It looks so stupid and you see they can't even walk. I would love to punch them in the face.

Back to the old ladies.

Old ladies who decide they'd rather try to drive through the wall of my store then use the door [:(!]

I feel I'll be posting quite a bit more here when I start that repair.
