Who do I run into at Yankee Stadium today but...

...Schwenko! The unbelievable reach of the NWO!

Gotta tell you though, I was fairly underwhelmed at the new stadium. Yeah, the amenities are great behind the seats, and the cushioned seats on the lower level are the best I've been in. But the place is sterile. Too much concrete. It has none of the intimacy and quaintness of Camden, Philadelphia, or of course Fenway. I really don't know what the Yankees were going for, but this place felt like Dodger Stadium with some fancy facades thrown in. [xx(]

Killer big screen in the outfield though...basically the biggest 1080p HDTV ever...

Well I do live in NYC....[8D]

Gotta agree with the assessment of the concrete

not to mention the stratospheric prices for food ($5 for a slice of pizza?)

did you stay for all 14 innings? Methinks not[:D]

I did[:)]

12 was it for me. Not even my team, although I did the "when in Rome" thing and happily rooted for them. Gotta wonder how well they're going to sell out the field box sections. Big, high-backed, cushioned seats...and practically empty. Granted, the weather sucked, but at $375 per for 81 games...sheesh!

In the video, the guy had 5 season tickets (since 1973 I believe) that doubled from $125 per to $250 per from 2007 to 2008. The new Yankee Stadium prices were $850 per. That's over $340K for a season!!!!
