I love New Wave, and a lot of rock music as well.
I always liked Foreigner. I was 18 in 1981 when they were huge, but they had some awesome singles from the first cords of the 1977 Foreigner album, you knew they were producing some good rock-n-roll music.
All of these are on my itunes with Urgent getting the most play, as well as Urgent being on my ipod when I run:
Feels Like The First Time
Cold As Ice
Long, Long Way From Home
Hot Blooded
Blue Morning, Blue Day
Double Vision
Dirty White Boy

I met Thomas Dolby in Boulder, Colorado in Oct. 2006, he was (I hate to say it) playing at the opening of the 29th St. Mall. He played all his hits and everyone sang along to "She Blinded me with Science." I loved hearing "Europa And The Pirate Twins" and my personal favorite "One Of Our Submarines." I never got to see him in the 80's so it was a real treat to hear him play live and meet him after the show.
He didn't seem to care that it was outside, at an outdoor mall setting, and that it was cold; The crowd of several hundred gathered early to the stage waiting and gave him a warm reception when he appeared on stage... wearing a long coat and his completely shaven head with very some cool glasses. I shot some nice pics of the concert (I should post up a few) for my client, and got to talk briefly with him after the show, he was gracious to all that I saw talking with him. It was a real pleasure to see Thomas Dolby live.
