What movie did you see last night 2

"Ghost Town"

It was OK. Parts of it were really funny.

Spent Saturday at the movie theatre... used those $6.50 each coupon in the Entertainment book.. so we saw [i]He's Just not That into You[/i].

Chick flick fer sure... The only not sold out show was at 10:40 (22:40!), and got out after 1:00... boy I was way too tired to anything once I got home[:p]... so it was a non-V-Day event, if ya know what I mean.

Anyway, it was all about relationships, yada, yada, and how guys string women along, etc. I thought the cast was 'too old' for the parts they were supposed to play, like mid-20s with crow's feet around your eyes...

Oh well, $13 spent, I would have rather rented the DVD later.

Just finished watching The Dark Knight and am as blown away as I was seeing it in the theatre. Immersive visuals, dark anti-hero theme, moral dilemmas, tragic (and mythic) characters, psychological warfare, complex relationships, the pacing, the action, the drama, etc., etc., etc. What a nice first blu-ray disc to have. THIS is what a comic book movie should be like.

Just got done watching "Taking Chance". Based on the events of an actual Marine Lt. Col (Kevin Bacon) who escorted the body of a dead marine home to his family for burial. I can't imagine having to meet the family and give them his personal belongings without losing it myself. Have a few tissues handy.

I watched "Taking Chance" a few weeks ago, what an amazing movie. I cried.
Last night I watched "The Skeleton Key", it entertained me.

Watched the movie "To Sir With Love" the other night.To some, I'm sure this is nothing but some old sentimental chick kinda flick. but fuck it , I liked it! [:D]

Star Trek last night, I liked it. The actor portraying Bones's character was the most spot on, as far as recreating the voice inflection and his mannerisms. Also young Scotty was pretty entertaining.

I also saw [i]Star Trek[/i] and enjoyed it. I thought it was kind of cool to see young faces portray our old favorites. I have seen some criticisms of the new film, mostly in the vein of "[i]this is not Roddenberry's vision of the future[/i]" blah blah blah. But if you're looking for spot-on sci-fi action, lots of explosions, and hand-to-hand combat, this film has it. Oh, and that Romulon ship is badass !!

p.s. We haven't been to a movie theater for years, only going when a new Star Trek or other sci-fi is released. Sci-fi ought to be seen on the big screen ! But $10 ?!%&@($# for a ticket ? Geez !

Star Trek was fun! Loved the visuals, the sound. Good homage honoring source materials and tv show. Tongue in cheek mannerisms give a nod to original actors of show. Old Spock was a terriffic compliment to shiny new Spock. Gave heart to the movie. Imagine. Thought the Romulan ship design was over the top and ridonkulous, but visually cool. Why would you build a ship with all those chards of metal and spires? Storage, housing, warehouse. No, just looks cool. I had a great time and the nay-sayers are just bummin' Go see it!
