...and some not so great news. according to the new rolling stone, the album's release is pushed to next year because they are letting other people remix and produce the songs. PRAISE JEEBUS. on board: teddybears (again, great!), lcd soundsystem (which i actually wished for last year, when the rumor got started they were recording again), and alan moulder (!!! sheesh!!!).
this bodes well, in my opinion. when devo produce their own stuff, at least those last two albums anyway, they sound instantly dated somehow. it's when they get help that stuff transcends.
while i really do like the new "don't shoot, i'm a man" i totally feel like it needs some beefing up, something to make it weirder, or harder, or sexier, or something. fingers crossed!
