There was some speculation that this could be part of the road to a 2012 campaign but that doesn't seem logical. I say she had an affair.

From AP: "Palin's resignation, timed on the eve of the July 4 holiday when many Americans had already begun a three-day weekend, seemed designed to avoid publicity while openly leaving office."
So..um...which is it, media?

Why the fuck did the predominant content of her resignation consist of the couching and self-serving characterization of the nature of her resignation rather than about the facts of the resignation itself? In other words, it was definitely an affair (or 2 or 3 affairs). Somebody reserve me a t-shirt.

My first thought was that now she can devote her time fully to the 2012 campaign. And of course make a lot of money making speeches as a private citizen.
