Whats the power, steering and handling like on this? hopefully Hyundai have treated it with the sportyness it deserves given the good-looks of the body.

Do they manufacture the Tiburon in Alabama? Or just the Sante Fe and Sonata?

Maybe XXX could pick up a Korean babe with one of these...

Reminds me of Beck's "I Wanna Get With You (and your sister Debra)". Hilarious song. "Baby, step into my Hyundai..."

Great find on the vid. I forgot it's just called "Debra". The whole song and even the whole Midnight Vultures album is a tour de force of hilarious faux funk lyrics. "I gotta get with you, only you girl", but then, oh by the way, "and your sister...I think her name is Debra." I think! A freakin crackup.

Now bowiestation gets to go out and sing this song.

Awesome, I want a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon, always liked that car.

By the way, I'm extremely pissed off to see that Alabama license plates actually say "Sweet Home" on them. Fuck Lynyrd Skynyrd. That has got to be one of the most Godawful songs ever conceived, and is probably in the top 3 most overplayed songs ever. Of course sharing the top 3 with it is the arguably worse Kid Rock bullshit that references it and ruined "Werewolves of London." When that shit comes on the radio I rush to change it faster than I did that horrid Macy Gray song from a few years ago.

Thanks everyone.Yes,it handles quite well, quick steering, and has a fairly responsive engine. It's no tire squealer by any means.Just a cool low priced 5sp sporty car that really excels on the highway. Not BMW quality by any stretch of the imagination.

Sorry for my tag. I'm from here and pretty much despise living here so I have to put up with the "Sweet Home AL." crap.Plus,I hate the song, hate trucks with HUGE tires, hate John Deer tractor hats and shirts, mullets, redneck attitude that I contend with at work,etc..........

I'm not a radio person so I save myself the anguish of hearing a ton of music I dont like.Especially LS.

Zill,I'm not sure what models are manufactured here. The Hyundai plant is located in an area called Montgomery which is two hours away and I have no desire to go there. It's the pits just like Birmingham.

Ahh the 05/06 Hyundai Tibby! I used to own an 03 with an 05 front bumper, chrome headlights, CAI, Borla exhasut and Tuscani badging. You should check out www.newtiburon.com. Here's a pix of my old one...she's been gone 3 years now and I miss her, fun car to drive!

Zill - Handling was pretty good, used to take it to the track 1/4 and 1.8 mile road coarse, super fun. Lacking in the HP, only about 200 without a blower but there are supercharger kits that'll easily make 300. The latest gen of this car is the new 2010 which offers a v6 or a 4 cyl turbo making in the high 200's a real upgrade from the older gens.

nothing special an 04 Mazda 6, need 4 doors cause the kids were complaining about the space in the backseat in the Tibby and something I could pay cash for. It's still sporty enough and the kids have their own door now, LOL Hopefully next will be an 06-08 Acura TL Type S in a couple years. I put about 25K a year on then for work so I usually run them till about 150-200K then ditchem before I have to shell out major bucks for repairs. I just can't justify dumping 3-4K in repairs on a 5-6 year old car, I just move on. Buying used saves a ton of cash and sometimes I can pay cash instead of a note.

Agreed on the cramped space.Your Mazda is a very nice car! Our family car(wife drives) is a larger '04 Grand Am GT.The Tiburon is so small the top of my head slightly bumps the roof and i'm only 5'9 lol.I love it though .
