Thompson Twins - Lay Your Hands On Me

Postby Sean » Mon Aug 17, 2009 1:42 am

Question for you guys. Which Thompson Twins compilation has the album version of this song which was untouched by Nile Rodgers? This is the original version that came out that sounded like the band did the chorus instead of the gospel singers. I think I have this on one of my TT comps but I don't remember which one and they've been all packed away.

isn't it one of the half a dozen mixes on the Here's to Future Days reissue?

Thompson Twins rule! Don't Mess With Doctor Dream, greatest song ever. Well, actually, I like everything on their best three albums (Here's to Future Days, Into the Gap, Quick Step and a Sidekick).

I think it's also on the HTFD second disc as well?

I think that's the comp OBS. Thanks. I don't think the single version is on the HTFD though.

Yeah, I think Future Days is underrated. I wouldn't try to compare it to the previous two, but I find myself listening to Future Days more often than the other two.

The only song I really like on the first album (Product of...Participation) is When I see you, that's a cool song. On the best 3 albums, pretty much all the songs are good.
