The Last American Virgin is bad, but I watched Savage Streets. Holy shit. That movie was just brutal, and not very good. It has an awesome soundtrack though.

Saw [b]District 9[/b] last night. It was entertaining, and has gotten a lot of good reviews, but I was mildly disappointed. It had some amazing scenes, and an interesting storyline (not to mention great special effects). I didn't like all of the loose ends in the plot, and I hated all of the standard action-movie cliches. It felt kinda dumbed-down. The first half was also a lot like watching Michael Scott in an episode of The Office. The second half was much butter, but still flawed. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 7.

saw Doomsday... other than the sexy Rhona Mitra the scene with Fine Young Canibals playing was fun [:D]

also saw The Happening.... not as boring as Lady in the Water, but not as good as Sixth Sense, kinda like The Signs I guess

Vantage Point and Transporter 3 were fun action flicks too that I saw recently

Saw Inglorious Basterds. It was good but I find Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill to be better. There are parts that drag on too long and felt quite unneccessary like that nazi birthday party at the bar. The main focus seems to be on Christopher Waltz's character while Brad Pitt's character was more of a supporting role. Great use of Bowie's Cat People in the film too

Saw [b](500) Days of Summer[/b] last night. Highly recommended. It's a total date movie, but it's clever, quirky and witty and has a great soundtrack. I hope the late John Hughes saw the film before he died, because this film (and others in the genre) owes a lot to him. I'd give it a 9 out of 10, and you'll probably only dislike it if you don't like relationship films.

At Jimbo's insistence, I endured sitting through "Thundercrack". Holy crap, what a cesspool of a movie. Even worse than "Cannibal Holocaust", and I thought that movie was untoppable as far are unwatchable movies go.

Saw Inglorious Basterds on Thurs nite. I have to agree with gpow. It was good, but not amazing. I felt that the acting was good (although Brad Pitt was just ok), but the story was a bit sensational. I recommend it for a good time, but the story is a bit long and not quite as potent as previous Taranintino films.

Yes, it's got disaster written for the poor schmuck from the very beginning.
Yes, I can't resist a flick that references "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable" and "The Boy With The Arab Strap" and the protagonist's childhood room looks like [i]this[/i]...

I'm not sure which is harder to believe: You saw this or a 15 year old kid has even heard of any of these bands. that kid is a dead ringer for my son. I'm guessing a Lil' Wayne poster and an NWA t-shirt would be more accurate.

Saw the documentary <a href="http://www.manonwire.com/" target="_new">[b]Man on Wire[/b]</a> recently. It's about a french acrobat who snuck into the World Trade Center when it first opened and walked a tightrope between the towers. It's a pretty amazing story and a compelling film.

The Killing Room--interesting--worth a watch.
Death At A Funeral--original British version--first half mildly funny--second half laugh out loud funny. There is a Chris Rock remake coming out that I dont have much hope for.
Finally saw The Happening--give me those two hours of my life back please. Sucked ass.
The Hangover--not bad-worth a watch.
