Song ID? Chorus: "Do do do do dodododo"

Song ID? Chorus: "Do do do do dodododo"

Postby oceanic » Wed Sep 30, 2009 8:17 am

There's a song, a radio single, that I've heard once in a blue moon since the mid-late eighties. It's very much a song that came out in the eighties and the chorus, sung by a male voice, has a bunch of "do do do do dodododo"'s in it.
It's definitely not Duran Duran's Hungry Like the Wolf, and it's not the Police's Do do do da da da either. It's also not Suzanne Vega's Tom's Diner.

It's like: Do (pause) Do (pause) Do (pause) Do (pause) Dodododo

This is really not much to go on, I know, but if anyone has the slightest inkling suspicion of what the song might be, by all means give it a guess.
Thank you!
Mike

Could it have been "Doot Doot" by Freur?

Or "No More I Love Yous" by the Lover Speaks?

Hope this helps,

I know you said male voice, but since the artist is male, I thought I'd throw out this one.

I haven't seen any other videos that were shot in the subway, but it was certainly better than the episodes of Night Heat that were filmed there.

Hello! Sorry for the absence! It was ROMANTIC TRAFFIC by SPOONS!
I can't believe it's taken over 2 decades for me to unravel this mystery! I also can't believe it was a band from Burlington, Ontario - the town that borders my own hometown of Oakville. Thank you all for your help in the search. Eight6, you NAILED IT. Thank you!

Oh, and I really liked that video! So much less self-concious and self-serious than a lot of shit out there. And so multicultural, which is absolutely fitting for the Toronto stage it plays out on.
