A few years ago when I was producing my TV station's morning show, I was assigned the Halloween bumpback music. I think I went with this:

The Cramps-"Goo Goo Muck"
Theme from the Munsters
Dead Kennedys-"Halloween"
Oingo Boingo-"No One Lives Forever"
The B-52s-"Devil In My Car"
The Cramps-"I Was A Teenage Werewolf"
Talking Heads-"Psycho Killer" (at this point one of our anchors pretended to bite the neck of the other anchor)
Ozzy Osbourne-"Bark At the Moon"
Simpsons Treehouse of Horror theme
David Bowie-"Cat People (Putting Out Fire)"
"The Time Warp"

"Your solution is both fair and democratic ... and I want no part of it"

Someone posted am MP3 in Obscure 80's Central a while back, 'Like a Ghost' by Ignatius Jones. Supposedly written by Steve Kilbey of the Church.

Halloween, by Run, posted on the Obscure80s Central forum recently and never before heard of by me until I ran across it there, is fantastic.

Glad to see so many awesome responses to my post. I played quite a few of these at my Halloween party last weekend. One final suggestion: the Trioxin Theme from Return of the Living Dead (the bit played during the opening credits). Never released in any format, it only exists in rips from the DVD, and boy is it an excellent instrumental synth track.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!!!
