My wife has only spent $500 in the first 3 hours on 5th Ave...a slow start. Mind you we haven't made it out of Saks yet. Doing her best best to help your US economy.

I have to admit shopping was fun today...only because of being in NY...otherwise I hate it.

The tree at Rockerfeller Center is fantastic...though the ice rink is a bit dodgy. Like skating in slush. I've never actually heard Sally Ann donation collectors singing before, so it was quite festive. There were a few choirs around today too.

Had lunch at Tao. At $24 for the prix fixe menu it was a better deal than dinner. The Kung POW! chicken was pretty good.

Spent a LONG time waiting for my wife to try on UGGs. Aptly named. Ugh! If she had tried one more pair I would have gone postal!

I think Lord and Talor's holiday windows were by far the best. Very well done. Although the XOXO live window display at 38th and 5th was my fave! Check out the chic changing her clothes at WhatWillSheDoNext.com.

We watched some excellent breakdancers up by the Plaza today too. Maybe they don't call it breakdancing anymore, but whatever, the kids were great.

Just "suffering" through my wife's bra shopping at Victoria Secret. Its a shame the group of hot young latino chics didn't stay longer.

Heard a lot of great new wave tunes today. The Cure playing at Saks and Captain Sensible at Lord and Taylor.

Heading over to Piano Due for drinks and to check out the artwork in a bit. A great break after the year I've had!

Dude check your email and the webster gig thread.

Btw, Tau rocks. For similar but better - spice market in meat packing district.

We ended up at the bar at the W until early morning. Whew. Not as fun when you're paying for the drinks yourself instead of the expense account!

The weather was a little dodgy today so we scored cheap scalper tickets to the matinee of A Steady Rain with Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig.

A great couple of days...but can't wait to get home to my kids tonight!
