Have two copies from RockAmerica and EMI, although both are the same shorter length, didn't know there was an extended version of Don't Argue. Maybe I have it in the telegenics collection, haven't got around to cutting up many of these volumes.

That explains why I have never seen those two vids you mentioned. How did you come to know they even exsisted?

All my vids are digitized to a harddrive. I'll have to look for a source to get that extended version of Don't Argue.

Good. Can you transfer them onto a DVD-R anyhow?

Of course dvd transfer is simple.
Noticed another Cab vid for Salseire? In RA database unreleased 9/2000.

No release for extended version Don't Argue by either RA or Telegenics in database, although those have been wrong before but usually correct.

So whoever posted those three vids you referred to in link, must have access to another source unbeknowst to moi or unaccessible.

Mind you, I haven't heard for "Salserie" yet. Now that's a rarity!

"Don't Argue's" extended version was shown in "Telegenics". So it's a bit weird they don't have it archived in database.

Can do. What volume on Telegenics was the extended version on for Don't Argue. From the database they didn't even do the regular version. Although I have the extended version of The Whole Thing and they didn't do a regular version on Telegenics.

I am! All the albums he did under the Sandoz moniker were fantastic as were the ones he released in the projects such as Sweet Exorcist, Nitrogen...etc. Albums he released under his own name were just as great.

Does anyone know what movie the sampled dialogue is from in "Gut Level"? It's been eluding me for years, decades even! It sounds like some kind of American Seventies drug/crime/blaxpoitation flick.

My absolute favorite era of the Cabs was their later work on Rough Trade and the first few albums on Virgin. I like 2x45 best because it sounds like dance music created by an actual band and not a computer. Muscular grooves but not overly slick.

Here's the answer:
The sample on "Gut Level" is taken from an interview with an ex-CIA operative who was working with political prisoners of the '80s... And some very unique torture techniques.

Later Rough Trade and early Virgin Records period is often being sited as their best i.e. most creative. "2x45" features the last Chris Watson tape loops touches as well.
