Although I personally like New Order better.

I have heard G.B. :
1) He does make some very good points.

You might want to go back and review how the Nazi party came to power. Then you may see the correlation between right wing fascism today. Not saying it would happen here in the U.S.A., but even a minor form of these conditions would be unwarranted.

Fascism is considered an extreme right wing movement, although it becomes corrupt once it takes power and loses some of its initial characteristics, as most systems do. But fear,racism, and nationalism are always a part of this system.

Even the KKK used partial truths to mask its true intentions.

I would disagree about the independent thinkers thinking that both our parties are screwed up. Then you would have to conclude that the American people are screwed up, and thus yourself. We are the two parties, we are the government. Taking responsiblity for ourselves is the first step to empowerment and change.

1. Racism
2. Fear
3. Nationalism

Another beef I have about so called independent thinkers, liberal left (socially, ethically). Is that they need to become active with solutions and quite being reactive with protests. Protest is fine, but at least know what your protesting and what you feel a solution is. It's always easy to point the finger at someone else for your problems or lot in life, but what are you doing to make it better. You have a President here today, sympathetic to your cause, work with him, help empower him to make changes for the better of our society.

Er...no. Though commonly spouted by talking heads trying to Godwin the left wing--Nazism is an extreme right wing philosophy.

Consider the following:

1-Socialism is a economic system (that I am convinced is not sustainable in the long run, but be that as it may...), Nazism is a political philosophy.

2."National Socialism" was used to distance that movement by its proponents from the "Communistic" type of socialism so feared in Europe at that time. Actual Nazism had about as much to do with pure socialism as the Deutsche Demokratische Republik (East Germany) had to do with actual democracy.

3. "Pure" Socialists were purged from the Nazi party in 1934

4. Totalitarian regimes and thought can arise from the Far right and the Far Left. The mistake many make is to assume that the distance between Left and Right is connected by a straight line. Many political scientists submit that practical political philosphies are better represented by a "circle" or a "square". Statists can want central government control of economic means by the "people" (Communism) or by a top down takeover (Fascism). Either way its totalitarianism that is often needed to enforce the state's will in these systems.

5. Nazism and Fascism in general exhibited most of the characteristics of reactionary governments: A strong singular ruler, subservance of will of the people, to the will (and "good") of the state, an inherently expansionist, militaristic nature, violent nationalism, and, usually xenophobia or race "superiority"

So not to dispute the oricle that is Wikipedia, but I would submit, that this notion spouted by many of the talk radio nitwits of the day is simply not supported by those trained in political science

Oh, and for the record, although I firmly believe in several of the general fiscal principles Beck claims to endorse, I think he is a hypocritical, whiny, half-wit who, although he supposedly supports limited government and personal freedom, would not hesitate to use a governmental bludgeon against those who don't follow his social dogmas.

And for the record, I am a Libertarian, so save all the "bleeding heart liberal" BS. It dosen't apply--nor is it an effective debating technique.
