Tough call but I have to go with Wilder. Anyone who hasn't already heard it should check out his Recoil project, especially the albun "Unsound Methods".

Wilder....because I'm rather keen on the noiZe he produces as Recoil. I'm no huge fan of Depeche Mode though.

Martin Gore writes great songs but Alan Wilder made DMode sound the way that they did. Of course, his creative input into the band brought out the best in the songs...

Ofcourse Martin L. Gore.
He is the brain in DM. He has written almost every song DM ever made.
Gore I consider as one the best songwriters ever.

I would have to say Martin Gore. I like all the members of DM and they all had something to contribute to the band but Martin will always be my favorite.

Whoa. I'm cornfused. I thought Martin L. Gore also composed music for DeMode. So he wrote the lyrics and Alan Wilder composed the music? Anyway, I still go with Martin L. Gore for three reasons: 1. Black Celebration album and B. The Counterfeit<
