This is terrific news!!! About time Ocasek pulled his head out and got back into the mix.

I thought this news would garner more attention here on NWO.

This is gonna happen!!!

Even if they don't tour it would be great if they made some new music.

I agree. But, i'd be curious to see what happens. I was just thinking
of Ben this morning - he's been gone for 10 years. Hard to believe.

Thanks for posting that interview, fascinating. I remember BCN putting local bands tapes in heavy rotation, and " Just what I Needed" was one of them. It was a hit song in Boston well before the 1rst album came out. Maybe that's why I was so sick of hearing it for awhile.I find it surprising they weren't all that thrilled with the 1rst album cover.

I lived in Boston from Sept 1973 until Feb 1977 and also heard "Just What I Needed" on WBCN. Still their finest moment.
Also heard "Road Runner" (and "More Than A Feeling"[:(!])

I agree with OBS, a Cars dvd video collection is much needed. A tour and a new album would be amazing. Sad without Ben and he wil always be missed but I think Rik can just take the lead throughout. It's just cool to see the band coming back together.
