Belouis Some Self Titled Album

Postby Sean » Tue Feb 15, 2005 4:32 am

Does anyone else like this album? I finally got my cd the other day and I totally love it. The only two songs I don't like is the first and the last. I don't like the songs where he tries to sound too funky.

Let it be with you / stranger than fiction / some girls / passion play / animal magic / dream girl / my body / wind of change / what i see / let it be with you 12"

It's OK, but I greatly prefer the Some People album.

It's a good album, but Some People is a great album..Too bad they never released Some People on CD....The Animal Magic Dance Mix is worth tracking down, it's a lot better than the album version.

I made a cassette tape off a New Wave station from Pittsburgh about 20 years ago with a slow version of Animal Magic on it. A great song

The Pittsburgh station you must be referring to was FM 104.7 WYDD. Originally the station played jazz, but around 1980, they changed to a new wave/top 40 format with Rick Carroll of KROQ Los Angeles working as a programming consultant. In any event, alt
