Pomegranates

Postby Frau_Blucher » Wed Dec 08, 2010 12:58 am

I'd briefly heard the excellent track "Prouncer", then edwardnky turned me on to a bunch more tracks. I've been completely engrossed all week by their new album One Of Us. They're a teeny little Ohio band, so little in fact that many of their youtube vids have captions like "Pomegranates playing in my basement..." Some of it rocks out. Some of it chills out. This is "Create Your Own Reality", a nice little slice of bliss with some clever construction...

Nice Track. On first listen some of their other stuff didn't really catch my ear . Will have to revisit.

First time I get to see them this year will be this weekend. I've got free space at my crib for anyone that wants to come in to Cincy Saturday..stay Sunday for Walk The Moon.

Have fun. I caught them at the Met in RI in front of a small crowd. Good show. Can't help thinking they'd be better off without the lead singer's sometimes overly glib persona. They have some great music that I'd love to see presented with more reinforcement and just more emotional oomph as well. Maybe I'm being weird - they are who they are.
