OK, I won't admit how many times I've watched this now.

But I'm thinking mid-40s is probably a bit high. There's no alcoholic drinks in anyone's hands, and in fact, a paper Coke cup in one, so I'm thinking this might have been an under 21 club, or at least a teen night. Circa 86, assuming they're probably late 30s/early 40s at oldest at this point...but I could be over-analyzing. And I am over-analyzing.

Heh.. for some reason as summer has wound down, I find myself wanting to set the 'Wayback Machine' to those years between '82 and '86 more than ever. Thanks again for posting this..[8D]

ARGH! The guy who posted the vid deleted his account.

But...next best thing (or better if you prefer more of them) is the source videos from these. They were apparently from a teen club in Spring Valley, CA, near San Diego called Stratus. And it was new wave, freestyle and other mid 80s hits...

The video clips are not from Krypton 90's aka The Country House 80's on the CT. NY. border. Anybody here ever visit the Country House in the early 80's?

I realize this is a ridiculous thing to say, but these videos make me wish I was 20 years older.

This club reminds me of a teen club i used to frequent back, 20+ yrs ago called "Alcatraz", it later became 'Pulsations" it was in Michigan...pretty bad ass, the DJ played alot of good stuff there. How I miss those days. Thanks for the memories.

The club was Spectrum in Spring Valley, CA near San Diego.

I was a regular at Krypton/The Haven/The Ivy in Banksville in the late 80s/early 90s. Miss that place. Very active Krypton 'alumni' group on Facebook.

I was a regular at the Country House. Was done with the place by 86 so never visited during the Krypton/Ivy days. I grew up in Banksville so the club was a short walk away. Killer sound system, they had a wall full of McIntosh amps.

I wish I could walk into a club these days that has the same look and feel of Stratus. Incredible that everyone looked like they had the time of their lives and there was no alcohol served.

Great stuff! I only went to a couple of clubs back in the day (Skoochies and The Vogue in Seattle), but these vids are a great reminder of the variety of dance songs - and hairdos - that came out of that scene.
