ok, so you missed the pop culture relevance of the picture and comment (it even has the relevance of the 80's), google is a great thing, but come on man! Some good natured ribbing doesn't equate to hating. Check out any post Frau has made about Fleet Foxes. If he didn't post that picture this thread would have had one comment.

Even though this section is called New Wave and General 80's discussion shouldn't the band be at least new wave since this site is called New Wave Outpost? Otherwise anyone can start a thread about Paula Abdul or Debbie Gibson, then it will become just another 80's site and not necessarily new wave which I thought this site was about. Maybe there should be a section called Non-New Wave 80's.

Put all hurt feelings and whatever remarks aside: I think it is most important to see that Marie Fredriksson seems to have recovered from cancer unlike Mick Karn from Japan. Isn't that the greatest success you can achieve? And the Roxette comeback will probably be like many other comebacks: fans get excited about the new sign of life and the rest hardly notices at all.
In Germany during the late 80s/early 90s our ears were tortured with Roxette on the radio: I simply couldn't stand it anymore. Now, however, I like their Spanish songs very much.
