ok, so you missed the pop culture relevance of the picture and comment (it even has the relevance of the 80's), google is a great thing, but come on man! Some good natured ribbing doesn't equate to hating. Check out any post Frau has made about Fleet Foxes. If he didn't post that picture this thread would have had one comment.

so Roxette was a part of 80's pop culture, as much as Duran Duran, Human League, Thompson Twins, Tears for Fears... ok so let's start posting the photo of that dude in all threads that deal with those bands...

I like the new track. I do hope they also release a ballad as a single, they are great at those...

Hit the reply button on the post that contains the picture and read the URL. [;)]

It says Peter King
Is that who it is? And if so who is Peter King?
[/quote]

Try again. Believe me, plagiarism has provided you with the Key to finding the answer.

one thing that I find fishy is how similar Roxette and Scandal's melodies and lyrics sounded on song Goodbye to You.. kind of a ripoff on part of Roxette, a bit disappointing [:D]

I also remember reading somewhere that Prince had a legal problem with one of their songs, not sure which one though

Well, if it makes you feel any better in roughly 50 years the playing field will be leveled because I doubt anyone will remember Roxette or even an NWO approved band like Gang Of Four either. [;)]

The most obvious Roxette thievery is Listen to Your Heart. If you start that song and then begin singing Heart's "What About Love" from the very beginning, you have a mashup that is all ready to be in an episode of Glee...

you're right, very similar melodies...too similar.

If you google plagiarism and roxette you will find there was also a court case with some other Swedish composer..

did I just inadvertently feed the fire of hate and smartass remarks?

I still do not know who the guy in the photo is and what he has to do with Roxette? I keep thinking he is an athlete, maybe a football player.... how stereotypical of me [:D]

This thread has everything.....romance, a two-headed love child, thievery, a mysterious stranger, coming back from death's door, bad pick-up lines, art, broken resolutions, code reading and one of the Jackson 5. I seriously never thought Roxette was this interesting. [:D]
