Thanks for the Probers links!
Haven't hear this stuff in years.
I knew that Rick had passed away... I used to see him a lot at Blueswagon gigs (some friends of mine played in the band). The last time I saw him we were talking about the outdoor show that Captain Carl put together in Roger Williams Park back in the 80's... Now THAT was a fun day.

I downloaded the Lou Miami stuff from the website that you sent me to but the Blind Dates link on that site must be old too... I got shut out on that one...

Thank you for the files and any other stuff from the list would be greatly appreciated.

I remember the singer from a band called The Proletariet (sp?) working people up so much that they started throwing bottles at him... He was yelling at a group of people in the crowd calling them flannel shirt wearing hippies and telling them that Lynard Skynard is dead...

They had to drag him out of there...
Captain Carl got the permit to hold the show at the Temple of Music by telling the city that he was putting on an Arminian Music festival....

I remember many a day at the Temple of Music. The good times. Roger Williams was a great place to hang back in the day....

As for The Detectives..still looking for Can't Remember Her Name. I know they had a few more tunes out there but at the moment I cant think of them. Actually thought they had a chance to beat the Schemers as a dark horse in that years rock hunt. Always thought Next Time was quite catchy.

I REALLY appreciate it.

If you find any more links to local music from this era I'd sure love to have them.

Like I said I haven't heard this music in years... but it seems like yesterday.
I'll be turning 50 this year... where the hell did the time go.
