"Dreaming Of Me" is 30 years old...

...yesterday, as it turns out.

But yeah, Depeche hit the three-decade mark as one of relatively few bands to rock an unbroken, 30-years-long recording career. I wonder how many there actually are. I wonder how many thought they'd last this long after Clarke left 'em high and dry. Amazing.

Happy 30, Mart, Dave, Fletch.

Here's a wonky live clip of said first single: "Dreaming Of Me."

Wonky or not, it's one of my very favorite DMode clips. Talking about reaching out from another era.

"30 years ago" ..... Jesus, I don't think I have ever felt as old. Heh.

Nice footage. Dave's Ed Grimley trousers made me laugh.

I cannot tell you how many hours of Depeche Mode
I have listened to in the past 30 years. There is
no other band more represented in my CD or record
collections.

Dave seems to have stolen his wardrobe from Bowie's Station To Station tour dressing room!

Lots of our favorite songs are 30+ years old. I have started hearing some on Oldies stations.
