New movie (actually French television production) about the terrorist Carlos (the jackal). 5+ hour version playing in NYC.
Evidently lots of Wire, New Order on the soundtrack (e.g. 12XU, Dreams Nevre End).
Anyone have a complete soundtrack listing. Can't find on
IMDB.

finally saw this movie last week, all 5 1/2 hours!
Well worth the time; it just won the Golden Globe for best dramatic television series (or something like that).

New Order's "Dreams Never End" was used twice- both times were when the lead actor Edgar Ramirez was stark naked- hmmm, I'll never hear this song the same anymore[:D].

Other music included The Feelies, Dead Boys "Sonic Reducer", and 3! Wire tunes (The 13, Ahead and Dot Dash).

And I was very impressed by the actress portraying one of Carlos's wives:

I saw the shorter (!) version recently. I loves me some international intrigue, but 150 minutes of shady hombres trading furtive glances through cigarette smoke in exotic cities was a bit much.
Still, the soundtrack, incongruous with the subject matter as it may be, is pretty cool.
