Judging from the amount of drool produced over Hoffs both in her 80s and 00s incarnations I think she has won it at this point.

It looks a bit more viscous than drool.

You should have tried to play the babe angle. Not that it would have met with more success, but at least you would have had 2% chance instead of 0%.

OK, wankers (never used the term, being a colonist, but it seems appropriate given some of the comments), time to make this scientific. Let's have your lists! After careful review of the evidence, I'm going with:

Top 10 NWBs in Their Prime
--------------------------
1 terri nunn
2 susanna hoffs
3 patty smyth
4 debbie harry
5 clare grogan
6 belinda carlisle
7 kim wilde
8 aimee mann
9 kate bush
10 chrissy amphlett

Top 3 NWBs Now
-----------
1 susanna hoffs
2 terri nunn
3 patty smyth

10 pts for a #1 pick, 9 pts for a #2 pick, etc.

Surely we should use "wanks" instead of points? [:D]

If we're counting '90s British stuff in the NW sphere, then it's an eight-way tie amongst
Rachel Goswell (Slowdive)
Sarah Cracknell (Saint Etienne)
Lætitia Sadier (Stereolab)
Donna Matthews (Elastica)
Sonya Aurora Madan (Echobelly)
Sarah Nixey (Black Box Recorder)
and the two different cuties that played keyboards for Blur on various tours.

Not sure this one counts mate.
Pretty sure Male to female transsexuals are still considered men by law in most countries. [8D]

I hope she isn't using her riches to pay someone to do her makeup. WTF is going on with her eye liner? Don't stare too closely, I'm sure there's some mind control thing going on.

Never rated Louise that much really. Trying so hard to be tough and sexy at the same time, and not being either one. Count Justine Frischmann in that category too.

Did forget one 90s BritBabe though: NJ from Tiny Monroe.

I say we keep it to new wave babes. As someone said, otherwise why not just call it "80s babes." And if we include 90s babes, why not just make the poll "top babes in music" (which would be an excellent topic, I grant, but a different one).

I'm going to have revise my list because of Chrissy Amphlett. I forgot about her!

If you think of someone who doesn't have a picture, or find better ones that I scrounged up, please post a pic..

p.s. Someone will have to enlighten me as to who the hell Toyah is and why she attracts such disdain. Is she like Cliff Richard--a singer everyone in the UK knows about and nobody in the US has even heard of?
