I gotta stop sampling "bad" to refresh my memory on how bad "bad" can be.

I'm just glad Josie Cotton was covered. I would still split her in half. Ran into an exotic dancer many years ago that looked like a curvy version of her. She even had short hair! Her name was Micki, and sadly, only ran into her once.

Regarding Mitsou...

I only recently became interested in Mitsou when I found out Ivan Doroschuk worked with her on two tracks; "Terre Des Hommes" and "A Funny Place (The World Is)". I was also interested to hear her cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Heading West", which I regretted later.

You know what, you're right about some things. Clearly there is an entrenched social hierarchy on this board. I haven't been personally attacked like that in a long time on an internet board. Most forums these days have reporting mechanisms and are really strict about that sort of thing, as they should be. A couple of those put downs sounded vintage 8th grade, which I ain't used to. The comments about sex abuse were an indirect defense tactic--a dumb one--and I apologize for them. Looking back on it, I should have just ignored everything or dismissed it, which is usually the best defense against internet verbal hostility.

And for whoever said I did nothing but complain (said it on the thread I started, by the way), I have done a little something for this board: gathered a bunch of babe photos for this post (a pleasant exercise, admittedly), posted a rare CD version of a song, mentioned a new wave book I stumbled across, put about half those NWO500 into a playlist. Not much, but I did it because I thought someone might benefit from it.

Anyway, enough said on that. Bring on the babes. Peace.

HW: Before someone else calls you out on it, it's a bit odd that you'd responded a month later, but that's aside.

Here's the reality: I can count on two hands the amount of people who regularly post in the General Discussion, and NNNW sections of this board, all of them are trolls, myself included. People troll in different ways, and some of them are genuinely looking to drive people away, and they've largely succeeded. Years ago this site was pretty happening, with three to four times as many active users. Some of them I bid good riddance to, but a lot of them I miss. I personally don't understand the philosophy behind trying to drive people away, I guess these people just want their own personal internet real estate without having to pay for their own websites. It's a bit analagous to a neighborhood tree-fort with a "no girls allowed" sign. I find it very petty, actually, but ultimately you control what you do, and if you can stomach it, most people here are entertaining some of the time and very likely wouldn't act anything like they do here face to face. Personally I hope you stick around, I know I've enjoyed a number of your posts.

Also, the chick from One to One was hot.

Right on. I rarely post anymore because of all the trolls. It's a darn shame.

It's a good thing most of us who have been here a long time are Facebook friends and/or meet up at the other site. Then of course there's the Gossipmonger's Gang/Secret Bully Club ... but that's far more exclusive.

All the girls are chilling with us in the aforementioned other places. The cool ones, at least[8D]

The snark on this message board has always been pretty high. It's probably something to do with us being a bunch of elderly people talking about things that really seemed important 30 or 40 years ago. You can kind of jump back into that teenage mindset here and forget you'll be dead soon and none of this matters. [:D]

The good news is that everyone here is just another schmuck on a message board and is irrelevant to one's daily life so it's not worth fuming over.

The political shit is a fucking cancer though. It's on every message board. The Star Trek message board I go to is filled with the stuff, and if there's a board devoted to My Little Pony I'm sure there's a pissing match going on over there right now too.

Cut that shit out...and live long and prosper. [^]

You blatantly stated that you wanted someone to leave, and called many people who had left "crybaby assclowns." There's no ambiguity here. And it's weird, motors, that you would be prompted to saying this by something that was directed at eight6, and not yourself. It's not like hello_world outing either of you as a troll was news to anybody. Apparently, hello_world is as good a troll as the rest of us (as you implied in the unquoted part of the same post) because he certainly knows how to push your buttons.

And in regards to this:

It seems like you may be insinuating that I belive that there's some network of trolls that jointly plan these things, but I don't. However for your edification and in case you or anyone else is keeping count of how many times this has happened, I could go ahead and say "I think there's some secret club of trolls that jointly conspire against us!" And I could also say "I think maybe eight6 and motors are actually the same person" cause I'm sure at least one of you is keeping track of how often something like that gets said as well.

By the way I remember when there was a secret club, we should get that back because accurately communicating via forum posts seems pretty ineffective.

Ghosty is the most correct IMO, but at least I'm much younger than most of you and will therefore probably live longer, so: [}:)]

Somebody called me a troll? How percipient. So are you also implying that? According to hello_world "I have done a little something for this board: gathered a bunch of babe photos for this post (a pleasant exercise, admittedly), posted a rare CD version of a song, mentioned a new wave book I stumbled across, put about half those NWO500 into a playlist. I think if you check, you'll find that I've managed at least that in my time here, so how is it you think I'm a troll, and hello_world isn't?

Once I see those Titsou pictures I can't be bothered reading any of the other drivel.

Maybe eight 6 and motors created hello world because NWO was running low on targets after New Wave Kid left?
