We did not have a "commercial alternative" station in Central Wisconsin where I grew up and went to college. I really could not even tell you if there was one in Wisconsin. Our college radio station where I was a dj played the alternative music in the area. new wave and, by the time I got there, "alternative", but also blues, reggae, jazz and other items not available on the commercial airwaves.

Hold on....it's never enough
It's never enough until Wormster posts a new DRE tape
The most that you post, the sweeter the tunes
Don't give up the game until your heart stops beating

Was great to hear the original "scream" during Weak in the Presence of Beauty --

AAAAA-oooo-AHHHHHHH!!!!

THANKS W for an early holiday treat!

Yeah i love the screamer sound. And you being creative..well done. You will hear a lot of weak in the presence of beauty in my tapes, one of those emotional years i guess. also you will hear a lot of new order, they being one of my favorite new wave bands. The next few tapes if i remember correctly have some mixed music in them.stay tuned.

The source for the Screamer sound: Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House (Walt Disney Records, 1964). It's available on iTunes! So if you want a pristine digital copy of the scream, purchase the track "Screams and Groans" (you won't hear it on the iTunes sample).

HAPPY NEW YEAR WORMSTER & CO. !

Is it really 35 years this month since Kate Bush introduced herself with 'Wuthering Heights' ? GOOD LORD.

How about a new tape to start 2013 off right and help me forget that little fact?

Hide and seek
I play along while downloading
WORMSTER'S TAPES on a sunny afternoon

THANKS FOR BOTH W !!!

Those of you who love Baltimora... it's worth seeking out the 10 1/2 minute 1999 Australian Remix of Tarzan Boy. Quite the creation!
