Hands up, time to die?

Hands up, time to die?

Postby Korova » Thu Dec 16, 2004 10:15 am

A good friend of mine wants to know about the song, very industrial, they played it alot in clubs in the early 90's... so they think it was pretty popular at the time, but in the refrain they chant "Hands up, Time to Die!" over and over again. Who sings this? Just curious, it would make their day if you could help out on this one.

I googled around and I think it might be "Sonny's burning" by Birthday Party, off of Mutiny/The Bad Seed.

My friend says it is not Birthday Party for sure (they're hardcore Nick Cave fan) , but perhaps they sampled Nick's words in the song... not sure, but that is a batch of songs "Mutiny/Bad Seed". This song is definitely a beat driven, industrial type son

Very good Darkwave. I guess I was thinking something completely different. Is my recollecion right that there was some other song that sampled Rutger Hauer's lines from Blade Runner, "Wake up, time to die"? It strikes a vague cord.
