Running Away From / Running Away From

Running Away From / Running Away From

It's a little unclear to me how much of this is accurate, and how much is confused by the fog of age, but here's what I remember about this song, that for many, many year I thought was Duran Duran but am now pretty sure it wasn't.

I'm not sure on the date, but I'm thinking 1985 -- 1987ish. I think I may have seen the video on Nick Rocks, but it may have been on MTV because I'm pretty sure I remember writing a parody of it as a ten year-old in 1986.

I don't remember much about the video, except darkness, and a guy running through a maze or something like that maybe. It seems like there was a lot of neon, like maybe the wals of the maze were outlined in neon and maybe the guy was wearing neon bands or something. Like I said, I was probably between 9 and 11 so it's not real clear.

All I remember of the words are the repetition in the chorus of, "running away from, running away from."

When I wrote my parody lyrics I had...

Running Away From
Running Away From
Something that I Made

I know that's the basic chorus, but I'm not sure if the, "made" was inserted for my lame parody was if it was lifted from the original.

Any help in identifying the song, album, or artist would relieve a great pressure that's starting to bruise my brain! ;-)

Thanks much,

NickC---
