That song is a mystery...but the bigger mystery is how you can find 3 fragments of the same song, yet not know the title/artist???

Hi eight6,
Really a mystery song, I have this fracments from old tapes from dj session from 1986-1987, unfortunatelly I can't contact with the Dj, the fracments 1164 and 1193 are from the same version of the song (probably a B-side from a 12" single), the fracment 1295 are another version of the song (probably the A-side of the 12" single).
I think this is a great song.
Please can you help me with this?

The reverb guitar riff is very reminiscent of Altered Images. It's not them.
But could it be Hipsway...which was formed by members of Altered Images?
