REQ: Fleetwood Mac "You & I - Part 1" B-Side

Postby hypnohighball » Sun Oct 20, 2013 6:09 am

This is my first request ever, and since the recent F Mac "Cool Water" request was answered, here goes.

The Fleetwood mac "Big Love" single from "Tango In The Night" had a great b-side, "You & I, Part 1". There was a "You & I, Part 2" on the lp, but this "Part 1" is very different, and is really a great song. The best of all the Tango In The Night b-sides, imho.
Here's the Discogs page :
http://www.discogs.com/Fleetwood-Mac-Bi ... ster/38640

I'd love a 320 kbs version, but any will do. I've looked everywhere on the internet and simply cannot find this one! Thanks very much in advance - John

It's out of print, never been on cd before, it's from the 1980's, not sure what you're trying to tell me? The Silver Springs/Cool Water request is from the same period.

I checked there - he has the 12" single that mistakenly has the You & I Part 2, the song that's on the lp. Not the b-side, You & I part 1. The owner of that site knows this and points it out in his listing for the Big Love 12".

This is all so confusing even F Mac's record label couldn't keep it straight!

The real b-side is "You & I, Part 1" and runs 3'09" . Even though the US and Canadian 12" singles SAY it's "Part 1, it's actually "Part 2" and the running time of 2' 40" gives it away.

This part of the forum is to post or request "obscure" "new wave" tracks from obscure 80s bands. Fleetwood Mac is nor obscure or new wave.

Who cares how bloody obscure it is? Stop going on people. If the mods want to pull this then i guess they will. I am a huge fan of BTG and the song 'You & me' in whatever part. Good ask hypnohighball i say. And in the last reply you seem to have your answer. I have downloaded all the 'Tango in the night' singles from BTG they are all on my hard drive. Fantastic site and perfect 320/FLAC rips

Buddy, calm down and read the rules again:

"Before requesting or posting music on this board, PLEASE read the message below in its entirety."

"This is the forum where you can find true lost classics and other obscure songs from long forgotten bands. We have a diverse group of people here who endeavor to preserve the New Wave genre through discussion, sharing memories and supporting the artists.

Now part of any musical discussion involves the actual listening and
- Oh yeah, and make sure it falls under the (pretty wide) umbrella of New Wave."

Fleet Freakin' Woodmac is "not" new wave.

Can't believe it was there on that site the whole time - thanks for pointing this out.

Mission accomplished and thanks to all who had positive comments.
