Cut unaltered from the digital track of the Laserdisc in LPCM. Was a mix of live and recorded tunes. Appreciate the folks here that share, especially the quality lossless cuts, these really make my day. This file is one big track, 437.61 MB, feel free to separate as I have for the video tracks.

Wow, only 1 download of this quality Fiat Lux? I'm shocked. Has this been available before? Or do folks not get into this artist?

Secrets, Embers, are in the best quality sound I've ever heard, Photography live is excellent off this track.

Daniel, I would never stoop that low to anything off youtube, the quality is horrendous. This is my personal capture off of the laserdisc. I doubt a 437 MB audio file would be off youtube. [;)]

(I play this entire track on my Scandisk when at the gym, it plays wav files)
(Why are you asking me this question? Isn't the initial posting clear enough?)

That sounds really cool. The only reason I did not even try to dl it was that I had seen that crappy quality on youtube. Fiat Lux was, is and will forever be the most criminally ignored new wave act of the 80s. I hope we someday see a re-issue CD/DVD of all their songs/videos.

Thanks for the upload. Downloading as I type. I burnt the tracks from my VHS a few years ago and am looking forward to hearing the Laserdisc quality.
Great group, saw them 6 times in their too short lifespan and am lucky enough to be able to spot myself on the live video in a much 'younger' form.
Thanks again.

Ahhh, got you. Couldn't agree more. I have all their videos off of Laserdisc, except the live performances like at Musikladen, have the Top of the Pops one. Would love to have their album releases in lossless.

How interesting, you must give the timing/video your spotted in. I'll take some screen shots and post them. Either way, glad to hear of other die hard Fiat Lux fans.

I'll try and give it a watch on You Tube at some point as all my VHS players are in the loft now elviscaprice!!
The live version of 'Splurge' is superb and has always been one of my favorites and a bit different from the LP version with extra lyrics.
I am down the front and got pushed aside by a really tall guy at some point!!
Let me know if you are interested in digitised cuttings, personal live photos and articles from UK music press. I have sent them to a few people over the years and enjoy sharing them with other Fiat Lux fans around the world. I would happily send you a CD of the stuff. I tried to collect everything about them at the time and met them on a couple of occasions. Nice guys. We really need an 'official' CD release!!

Of course, your preaching to the choir, here. How about some folks here reposting some of those flac or better album cuts? I'm not a big fan of the MP3 cuts I have. Someone must have taken the time to do a proper transfer of the vinyl.

P.S. AJWAVE, did you check out Ocean Blue in concert when they swung thru to play in Lima?

I have some Fiat Lux mp3 at 256 kbps..but you're right again. A fresh vinyl rips in flac format would be great... i designed a cd cover for the fac ut vivas album long ago and i'm finishing a singles collection album cd cover (disc 1: singles and disc 2: 12" mixes)maybe upload later.

regards from Lima

Julio
PD: i couldn't go to the OB concert. But i read positive reviews about it =)
