SHARE: Laws Of Motion - EP (1984)

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I know I did. I'm readying a bunch of stuff to share before life takes over again. Thanks for all your kind comments (and the thread wondering where I've been… it really made my day)

Before you ask, this share isn't lossless. I don't know how to do that, but I'm pretty sure I currently don't have the hard drive space. If you guys want lossless rips of the stuff I'm sharing, you've got a couple of options. You can a) bug someone who is proficient at lossless file creating, b) hunt down a copy of whatever it is you want lossless and rip it yourself, or c) teach me how to rip records losslessly and buy me the equipment. I'll be happy to try. If it's really necessary to complain to me about the rips I'm sharing, PM me, you don't need to publicly post that negativity. I understand how it is. People here are audiophiles. Most of the time I'm just happy to track down the music, and hope, if it's good, i'll eventually upgrade to a better sounding rip, if it's not up to snuff, but I know not everyone feels that way. I have upgraded my software and turntable, and I hope that puts a few minds at ease.

Anyway, that out of the way, I'm excited to share an EP by Laws Of Motion, a SoCal band I know very little about, but enjoy immensely. I've posted a few songs on youtube for you guys to hear… They've got a new wave synth sound, that sort of falls in line with Re-Flex, Kaja, and in places Devo and/or Wall Of Voodoo. From what I understand, they only have this EP.

The EP, called "Check It In The Mirror" was released in 1984 on World Records. The track listing is

1. Massive Doses
2. Check It In The Mirror
3. Missing In Action
4. Not Enough
5. Living In Real Time

They did that thing where the A side has 4 songs and is 33 1/3 and the b-side has one 8 minute song and plays at 45 RPM. I remember B-Movie trying to do that in the early 80's and not being able to for some reason.
