For those of you soulseekers and ready to know than in the first 80s it was not only in the USA or UK that existed enormous new wave songs I list some of our Spanish unknown NW anthems. Of course, the lyrics are in Spanish (and I mean Spanish from Spain, Europe, not what you Americans usually understand for Spanis...[:D]) but the music is absolutely awesome and completely new wave cover all its range of sounds. All the songs I list are from the first 80s. The name of the band is in capitals, the other is the name of the song. If anyone does the effort to listen to them, I am hardly interested in having some comments backs from you. And ready to list more if interested. We had a GREAT new wave (nueva ola). Sorry if I don't link, I am not a good tecnology user and I'm not handy with mp3...

Very interesting. Sounds like Spain was a great place for new wave in the 80's. Do you know if any of these bands are still available on cd? It would be interesting to get some compilation discs, at least.

Yes, some of them (not the obscure ones) are available on cd. Some records have been re-released in cd, but is more easy to find them in compilations. I'll search and give you some good on-line shops wher you can try if interested...
