all i recall about the song is that it said "acid rock " and the guitar sounded like a deep purple song????

Boy you're dusting off some cobwebs from my DJ days there...
The song you want is appropriately called "Acid Rock" by Rhythm Device. It's synth intro borrows Deep Purple's guitar riff from "Smoke On The Water". It was released around 1990. I believe
