X-Ray Spex here! I saw footage of them in the movie, "DOA: A Right of Passage" from the seventies, and they were great-one of the most energetic, real bands. I still have the song "Oh Bondage, Up Yours!" on a compilation, and it never gets old to me.

Haven't heard enough Essential Logic to make a comparisson. However, BP and Jack Airport from X Ray Spex went on to be in Classix Nouveaux, so that's points in their favor!

I like both Essential Logic and X-Ray Spex, but just for their contribution to the (then) brand new phenomenom known as punk - I will have to go with X-Ray Spex. Placing a sax in a genre of music that was even then in its' infancy starting to become unifo

Having not heard much X Ray Specs, I would have to say Essential Logic. Though "Beat rhythm news" is a good album, I'm more partial to the post LP singles. "Eugene" is fun and "Fanfare in the garden" is my all time favorite. Lora's solo LP had some great

After long reflection It would be X-Ray Spex. More songs more memories plus you can never never never ever get board with the Germ Free Adolescents LP. Also the best line ever "I hit him back...with my pet rrrrrrat" That is what puts X-Ray Spex over th
