Mystery Video & Band

Mystery Video & Band

Postby ExRat » Wed Jan 05, 2005 9:55 am

I am trying to find the identity of a a music video and band from about 1986. Saw this video on 'Night Flight' - Two identical twin brothers, longish-blond hair, shirtless and sort of glam looking. A few colorful scarves. I recall it was filmed in the desert and lots of climbing around on sand dunes. But, unfortunately, I don't recall much more. I don't really remember the music, other than that at the time I wasn't so impressed by it. And NO, it isn't Gene Loves Jezebel. Anyone else remembr this? I probably wouldn't recall the name of the band if I heard it either.

Sounds like it might be "After the Rain" by Nelson, although that was about 1990, not 1986.

Yes it does sound like "Nelson" to me as well. I don't recall the desert video, but I remember these two blond, wimpy-looking guys from an episode of "Beavis & Butthead". The video is not the one you are looking for, but it is for a song called "Love &

No, it DEFINITELY wasn't Nelson. It was a rather New Waveish band.

A bit of a long shot, but...

Any chance the band is NASA? I remember they had a video with sand-dunes (I can't remember the song, sadly) and, looking at the band's photo on allmusic.com, they are Nelson-esque looking. A possibility I think.

I do believe "Shah Shah" was their only video. AMG has audio samples of it...check and see if they sound familiar.

ExRat is right, the video was "Shah Shah." It got a few plays in the 120 Minutes/Night Flight axis when it was out. Didn't think much of the song, tho, if I remember correctly. [:D]
