New Order in Concert 2005-USA dates

Postby schwenko » Sun Feb 27, 2005 8:55 am

According to Billboard, New Order bassist Peter Hook says the pioneering rock act plans to play "as many shows as we can" in North America this year, in lieu of the limited appearances the band made here in support of its 2001 album, "Get Ready." As previously reported, New Order will on April 12 release its latest Warner Bros. set, "Waiting for the Sirens' Call."

"We felt very guilty for not coming to America last time," Hook tells Billboard.com. "We only did Moby's [Area: One tour], which was before the album came out. That left us feeling quite annoyed with ourselves, because we realized how important our support in America has been to us. We wanted to make sure this time that the first thing we do is come over here. We're doing Coachella and then we'll do some dates in Chicago and New York."

It's a bummer they're mainly playing festivals. Here in SoCal, it's Coachella. Wat up wi dat? 45 minutes of material in 120-degree weather is no match for a 2-hour show like a real band, ya kno? I love NewOrder's music, but when it comes to playing actual

I believe that after these few festival dates, they are going to do a full blown tour. And I really don't buy that nonsense about them not caring about their fans anymore. According to bassist Peter Hook, the band are going to play as many gigs in the U

Which means for Southern Californians, that we have to sit through a bunch of awful bands to see one good band. I hate that.
