NW artists who are now electronica?

Postby KYYX4ever » Sun Apr 24, 2005 2:13 am

I was thinking that it would be cool to make a CD with NW artists who are still around, but who have morphed or otherwise changed into electronica/trance/ambient. Which NW artists do you know of that fit this category? (p.s. I LOVE trance and electronica!)

Again, thanks for your input guys, I really appreciate it.[:)]

I know of:
Freur became Underworld
FatBoy Slim (Norman Cook) used to be in the Housemartins
Thompson Twins became Babble
Boy George is now a club DJ.

Maybe it's their age showing, but I love all their old stuff more than the Electronica music they're putting out...

Pet Shop Boys, members of New Order and Andy Fletcher of Depeche Mode have all done stints as DJ's too.

Also, Andy Fletcher has a new label now, and his first signing is the electroclash girl duo called Client.

Wire's Graham Lewis does a side project called he said omala. Really good ambient/IDM. I highly recommend Catch Supposes. I think Col Newm
