Can anybody tell me anything about him?

Been reading that he was an early 80's electronic pioneer. Can't remember ever hearing anything at the time.
Is he worth checking out?

Well, one thing he did was work with Claudia Brucken (ex-Propaganda) as Act, putting out the album Laughter, Tears and Rage and a lot of singles. Very good stuff.

Solo, he's kind of a tape head, using tapes for experimental music.

He and Robert Rental put out an album together called "The Bridge" on Industrial Records. Really good atmospheric moody stuff made with a guitar and 2 EDP Wasp synthesizers.

I had not heard of Thomas Leer before Simon (Torchomatic) posted an mp3 on his (sadly missed) website.

The track was from his only full length solo LP "The Scale of Ten" which was released in 1984. Unavailable for many years, it was re-released on CD l
