Nightclubbing Austin (Yet Another) Comp List

Postby Scourge » Thu May 19, 2005 5:18 am

Hi, I'm soliciting help. I dunno where any of you are from really, but I'm wondering if anybody here lived and/or clubbed in Austin in the late 80's/early 90's.

Specifically, did you go to Planetarium/Sanitarium, Basics/Ohms, Curfew/Mirage, Phaces, Void, or Planet Austin?

Even more specifically, I'm looking for your help building a compilation from various play lists of the 80's stuff they played. My list focuses on Phaces and excludes most of the techno/industrial stuff like Lords of Acid, Front 242, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Skinny Puppy, etc.

I wouldn't repeat the same artist on a comp, but I needed to list out the stuff that was played, and I'll choose what goes on the comp based on the best mix results

Whatever you can add for consideration would be cool. And even if you didn't club in Austin back then, feel free to throw your two cents in too.

You get bonus points for more obscure songs which were club hits that I obviously can't remember.[:I] And I realize that I even skipped really obvious stuff like New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Dead Or Alive, Depeche Mode, etc.
