"cars" dvd coming soon

Postby bruiser » Tue Jul 26, 2005 11:33 pm

i think this year, actually. did you all already talk about this? i'm too lazy to look it up. it's called "unlocked" and features a ton of backstage and candid video from tours and recording sessions. it sounds cool, i'd like to see this sort of thing for other bands too. i'd be interested to see behind-the-scenes video of the making of "friend or foe" or "new traditionalists" or "bouncing off the satellites"... i'm being serious. now if only a cars video dvd was out... only a live one exists, i think.

I heard about a Cars DVD being release a few years ago but it never seem to develop. (Kind of like OMD's DVD) Bruiser, did you get this info from the official Cars site? If it's true, it will be amazing.

P.S Ric Ocasek'solo album "Nexterday" is coming out on Sept. 27!!

Ric Ocasek use to have a fairly active message board back in 2003 but nothing there last year or this year. I'd like to see some Cars videos at some point.

A bit of positive information if true:
http://www.axlmusic.com/Elliot_Easton.896.0.html
The creative lead guitarist behind hits such as “Just What I Needed,” “Shake It Up” and “You Might Think” is a well-respected guitarist in the music community.

Lately, Easton has been working in the studio with The Cars for a reunion, new record and tour.

I agree! They should make a DVD with all Cars videos (the closet one out is the "Hearbeat City" video album which has a few videos from Heatbeat City, along with "Panorama" and "Shake It Up"). Yes, I saw that link from Elliot Easton. That was posted a few months back, but I have not heard anything more about a reunion- only about the new "Cars Unlocked" DVD and Ric Ocasek's solo album coming out and that a fan club website is being developed for the Cars- I'll let everyone know if I hear anything more!

Looks very good! I'll definitely have a look when it comes out.
And check out the link for the Hong Kong video.
And what about the Suicide documentary? It's a dead link unfortunately.
